Miracles Happen
Miracle became a mother at age 15. Enduring dangerous and unsustainable living conditions, first from a drug-addicted mother, and later from an abusive father, Miracle and her son struck out on their own and entered Advocate’s transitional housing program. With the help of Advocates, Miracle developed a plan to get herself out of poverty. After months of hard work, she earned her GED. Wishing to help others, she enrolled in a two-year, social sciences program at FCC. She is now working as a home health aid and providing for her son while pursuing her degree. Her journey is a testament to resilience, support, and the power of community provided by Advocates.
