The Transitional Housing is a two-year structured and holistic program provided to families with custody of one or more children who are homeless. The program, which includes individualized case management, is designed to support families in their transition to stable and independent living.
Services Provided
- Safe Housing for Up to Two Years
- Access to higher education and/or career training
- Assistance with scholarship applications
- Limited financial assistance for transportation, childcare, emergencies
- Enrollment for children in after-school activities and summer camps
- Intensive case management meetings, bi-weekly, with Family Advocate
- Referrals to community resources to meet the needs of each household member

Program Eligibility Criteria
- 18 years of age or older
- Custody of one or more minor children
- Homeless or imminently at risk of homlessness
- Income of 30% of AMI or less
- Willing and able to purse education or job training
- Able to provide proof of all income
- Frederick County resident
- Eligible for public housing
