Homeless Households Served, January 1, 2024-December 31, 2024
Emergency Shelter & Transitional Housing
Homeless families with custody of one or more children reside in one of 12 scattered-site, single unit, fully furnished apartments and townhouses. All adults are required to work and attend vocational certification programs or job-training, and all children must attend school regularly. We are proud to report that 95% of graduates that transition to permanent housing remain stably housed for one year. Most will never be homeless again.

Rapid Rehousing
Homeless individuals and families that are literally homeless, i.e., living in a shelter, motel, or on the streets, are placed into fair market rentals within Frederick County. We assist with security deposit/first month’s rent and monthly rents in decreasing amounts monthly, as the household assumes more responsibility for the full rent. For this program, 90% of households remain stably housed after one year.
