- Case management support to assist with landlord negotiations
- Referrals to community partners for supportive services addressing workforce development and job training
- Assistance with budgeting practices with a major focus on prioritizing rent and utilities payments.
- Utility assistance for program households
- Moving assistance for clients with driving licenses
Client Household Responsibility
- Pay share of monthly rent and utilities on time
- Meet with assigned Family Advocate no less than monthly
- Work with case manager to establish a household budget
- Follow through with referrals for job placements, as necessary
Advocates for Homeless Families
Program Eligibility Criteria
- 18 years of age or older
- Literally homeless (residing in a shelter or transitional housing program, in a motel paid for by a charity, or in a place unsuitable for human habitation)
- Income of 30% of AMI or less
- Able to provide proof of all income
- Frederick County resident
- Letter of offer from a landlord or copy of lease
